Guitar basic lesson 3 (Knowing The Fretboard)

Guitar basic lesson 3 (Knowing The Fretboard)

Knowing the fretboard simply means that you should know each and every note, on each and every fret, effortlessly and instanly. If you are like most guitarist, you probably know a few positions... for example, if i ask you, "what 's the note of the first open string?" you will answer "E!"..

There are many other programs, some solely for tablature, while others also write lyrics, knowing the fretboard, guitar chord diagrams, chord symbols and/or staff notation

Learn to Play Guitar, Guitar basic lesson 1, Guitar basic lesson 2

Learn to Play Guitar

Playing acoustic guitar is a great way to have fun whilst listening and humming along to the most amazing acoustic guitar songs. With hard work and practice you will get a rich and living sound. Playing acoustic guitar is hard work on the fingers, and so it's a bit of a relief to be able to switch to an electric, which is much more forgiving. One of the ironies of playing acoustic guitar is that just when you get good enough to play in front of people, you have to deal with the issues of amplification and all the technical know-how that made you go acoustic the first place. Being able to play acoustic guitar is a great feeling.

Guitar basic lesson 1

Playing guitar is not like brain surgery, you have to practice to improve. It is better to practice in smaller amount more frequently (every day or every other 30-45 min). as opposed to once or twice a week for 2-3 hours, at time. Repetition is the only way to learn a pattern oriented instrument.

If you are in the middle of a practice session, and you feel any pain in your arms, fingers, or wrists-stop!! you can cause serious damage to tendons, ligaments, and all sorts of other stuff in there. just put the guitar down, do something else for a while, then go back to it. keep your hands healthy!
